Description : |
Purified recombinant Human ApoE4 proteinApoE4 is the high risk variant of the APOE gene, the gene most associated with increased risk for late-onset Alzheimer"s disease. Wikipedia shows that it is not a direct determinant of the disease - at least a third of patients with Alzheimer"s disease are ApoE4 negative and some ApoE4 homozygotes never develop the disease. Yet those with ApoE4/ApoE4 have ~20x risk of developing Alzheimer"s. |

Notes : |
Small volumes of ApoE4 recombinant protein may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice. |
Storage : |
Upon receipt, product is stable while lyophilized at room temperature for 1 month, 4 degree C for 6 months and -20 degree for 2 years. Once reconstituted, can be stored at 4 degree C for 1 week. Stable for 3 months when further diluted in a buffer with a carrier protein and stored in aliquots at -20 degree C. |
