Description : | Interleukin four-induced gene 1 (IL-4I1) was first identified in mouse B cells as part of the response to IL-4, a key regulator of the immune response. Later, the enzyme was shown to be a member of the flavin-containing amino acid oxidase family and closely related to L-amino acid oxidases. Enzymological characterization reveals that IL-4I1 has L-amino acid oxidase activity with preference toward aromatic amino acids. Its limited expression in immune tissues, dendritic cells, and macrophages indicates that it may play an important function in the immune system. |

Q&As (6)
Ask a questionThe dose of IL4I1 in clinical treatment requires a number of preliminary studies, and is determined according to the type and severity of the patient's disease.
This is mainly involved in the regulation of immune response and anti-tumor effect, and has biological functions such as inhibiting T cell activation and proliferation, inducing macrophage M2 polarization, regulating T cell differentiation and apoptosis.
IL4I1 used in preclinical animal experimental studies needs to pay attention to its dose, administration route, administration time and other issues.
The application of IL4I1 may cause some side effects, such as fever, headache, fatigue, nausea, etc., but its toxic side effects are relatively small.
IL4I1 can inhibit the growth and spread of tumor cells, and at the same time activate immune cells in the body to enhance the body's immune monitoring ability to tumor, so as to achieve the effect of tumor treatment.
The purification technology of IL4I1 mainly includes affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, gel filtration chromatography and so on.
