Cat. No. : Cxcl1-1877R
Description : Chemokine (C-X-Cmotif) ligand 1 (Cxcl1) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokinefamily that was previously called GRO1 oncogene, GROα, KC,Neutrophil-activating protein 3 (NAP-3) and melanoma growth stimulatingactivity, alpha (MSGA-α). In humans, this protein is encoded by the Cxcl1gene.
Source : E. coli
Species : Rattus
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 µm sterile filtered solution, carrier free.
Molecular Weight : 7.6kDa
Purity : > 95% asdetermined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Endotoxin Level : < 0.1 ng/µg ofCXCL1
Biological Activity : Determined by thedose dependent calcium flux in rat neutrophils. The ED50 range is 0.5-2µg/ml.
Reconstitution : Centrifuge vialprior to opening. First add sterile distilled water to the vial to fullysolubilize the protein to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Further dilutionsshould be made in low endotoxin medium or buffered solution with heatinactivated FCS or tissue culture grade BSA. Please note that the addition ofany carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. Thisdepends upon the particular application employed.
Storage : Store lyophilizedprotein at 2-4°C and reconstituted protein in working aliquots at -20°C to-80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

        Ask a question
Are there any therapeutic strategies targeting CXCL1? 11/17/2022

Therapeutic strategies targeting CXCL1 aim to modulate its activity in diseases like cancer and chronic inflammation.

How does CXCL1 contribute to inflammation? 05/03/2022

It mediates inflammation by promoting leukocyte migration and activation.

What role does CXCL1 play in tumor progression? 09/30/2021

In cancer, CXCL1 can promote tumor growth, metastasis, and angiogenesis.

What is the relationship between CXCL1 and angiogenesis? 04/21/2021

CXCL1 contributes to angiogenesis, supporting new blood vessel formation.

What is the primary function of CXCL1 in the immune system? 11/15/2019

CXCL1 is a chemokine that attracts neutrophils to sites of infection or injury.

In which pathological conditions is CXCL1 found to be elevated? 08/05/2018

CXCL1 levels are elevated in conditions like cancer, inflammatory diseases, and infections.

How is the expression of CXCL1 regulated in cells? 02/06/2018
