Cat. No. : | Ccl12-93M |
Description : | Murine macrophage/monocyte chemotactc protein-5 (MCP-5) is a member of the B-chemokine family (C-C) of cytokines. This chemokine is strongly chemotactic for human monocytes and murine peritoneal macrophages but is not active on mouse neutrophils and shows only a weak response on mouse eosinophils at high concentrations. MCP-5 is a peptide of 9.2 kDa that consists of 82 amino acid residues. |
Source : | E. Coli. |
Supplied : | Powder with no additives. |
Purity : | > 99% by SDS-Page and HPLC analysis Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng per ug of MCP-5. |
Reconstitution : | The MCP-5 should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 1mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4 ℃ , tighten cap and rotate to reconstitute any material on sides of vial. If desired, you can centrifuge at 1000rpm for 1 minute to concentrate volume in bottom of vial. This solution can be diluted into water or other buffered solutions containing carrier protein or medium containing serum. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at -20 ℃ for future use. |
Note : | If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling (or other applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% BSA or dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance stability and minimize absorption to vial. |
Reactivity : | The maximal chemotactic activity of murine MCP-5 was detremined by a chemotaxis assay using human peripheral blood monocytes. Significant chemotaxis was achieved using a concentration of 50ng/ml. |
Storage : | The powder is stable at room temperature but it is best stored desiccated below 0℃. Reconstituted MCP-5 should be stored in working aliquots at -20℃. Avoid Frequent Freeze-Thaw Cycles. |
