Description : Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-5(MCP-5), also known as Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 12(CCL12), is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family that has been characterized in mice. Due to its similarity with human chemokine MCP-1, sometimes it is called MCP-1-related chemokine. MCP-5 specifically attracts eosinophils, monocytes and lymphocytes. It can signal through the CCR2 receptor.
Source : CHO
Species : Mouse
Form : Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Bio-activity : The EC50 value of mouse MCP-5/CCL12 on Ca^2+ mobilization assay in CHO-K1/Gα15/mCCR2 cells (human Gα15 and mouse CCR2 stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells) is less than 0.5 μg/mL.
Molecular Mass : 9.3-11 kDa, observed by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Protein Length : 82
Endotoxin : < 0.2 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.
Purity : > 98% as analyzed by SDS-PAGE.
Storage : Lyophilized recombinant Mouse MCP-5/CCL12 remains stable up to 6 months at -80 centigrade from date of receipt. Upon reconstitution, Mouse MCP-5/CCL12 should be stable up to 1 week at 4 centigrade or up to 2 months at -20 centigrade.
Storage Buffer : Lyophilized after extensive dialysis against PBS.
Reconstitution : Reconstituted in ddH2O or PBS at 100 μg/mL.
