Description: Crtam (ClassIrestricted T cellassociated molecule) is a member of the nectin family ofthe immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed by activated CD8+ and NK Tcells. NK activation receptor engagement, but not cytokines, also inducesCratm expression on NK cells. Crtam is found in spleen, thymus, smallintestine, peripheral blood, and surprisingly, in brain where it is highlyexpressed by Purkinje cells of the cerebellum.
