| Product Overview : | Anti-biotin magnetic beads are used to perform positive or negative selection of cells through biotinylated antibodies. For positive selection, cells are first incubated with biotinylated antibodies to allow the antibodies to bind to the target cells. Then, Anti-Biotin Nano ibeads are used for magnetic labeling. The cell suspension is added to the ibeads® column in a magnetic field. The magnetically labeled cells remain on the column, while the unlabeled cells flow out into the supernatant. After removing the column from the magnetic field, the magnetically labeled cells retained on the column are the positively selected cells and can be eluted with a buffer. For negative selection, biotinylated antibodies against non-target cells are used to bind the cells, and the non-target cells are magnetically labeled. The cells that do not bind to the beads are collected, which are the negatively selected target cells. |
