Batroxobin Reference standard

Cat.No. : Batroxobin-127B
Product Overview : Batroxobin is a hydrolytic enzyme derived from the venom of Bothrops atrox. Batroxobin clots plasma by converting fibrinogen to fibrin by the release of only fibrinopeptide A rather than fibrinopeptides A and B as does thrombin. The standard consists of a batch (1,000) of ampoules. These ampoules contain the residue after freeze-drying of a solution of highly purified Batroxobin, human serum albumin and buffer salts. The Batroxobin was isolated from the venom of Bothrops atrox and supplied by Pentapharm, Basle, Switzerland, through the good offices of Dr Kurt Stocker.
