| Description : | BAL (Benzaldehyde lyase): a kind of enzyme that catalyze hydroxymethylation of aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes with formaldehyde to produce the corresponding α- Hydroxymethyl ketone. BAL is thiamine diphosphate (ThDP) – dependent enzyme. |
| Applications : | 1. Normally, the reaction system should include substrate, buffer solution, enzyme, ThDP, Mg2+. 2. BAL should be added last into reaction system, after the pH and temperature been adjusted to the reaction condition. |
| Notes : | Never contact with extreme conditions such as: high temperature, high/low pH and high concentration organic solvent. |
| Storage : | Keep 2 years below -20 centigrade. |
