Cat. No. : HTR2A-1872H
Description : This gene encodes one ofthe receptors for serotonin, a neurotransmitter with many roles. Mutations inthis gene are associated with susceptibility to schizophrenia andobsessive-compulsive disorder, and are also associated with response to theantidepressant citalopram in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD).MDD patients who also have a mutation in intron 2 of this gene show asignificantly reduced response to citalopram as this antidepressantdownregulates expression of this gene. Multiple transcript variants encodingdifferent isoforms have been found for this gene
Source : E. coli.
Storage buffer : 1M PBS (58mM Na2HPO4,17mM NaH2PO4, 68mM NaCl,pH8. ) added with 100mM GSH and 1% Triton X-100,15%glycerol.
