Cat. No. : |
CDCA8-3526H |
Product Overview : |
Recombinant human CDCA8 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques (19-280aa). |
Description : |
CDCA8, also known as Borealin, is a component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC). The CPC complex has essential functions at the centromere in ensuring correct chromosome alignment and segregation and is required for chromatin-induced microtubule stabilization and spindle assembly. In the complex, CDCA8 protein may be required to direct the CPC to centromeric DNA. Deletion of CDCA8 delays mitotic progression and causes kinetochore-spindle to mis-attach. |
