Description: Cyclin-dependent kinase 16 isoform 1, also known as CDK16, belong to the CDK family of serine/threonine protein kinases. These proteins have a core kinase domain flanked by unique amino- and carboxy-terminal domains. CDK proteins are known to regulate the cell cycle. CDK16, which is expressed primarily in mammalian brain, interacts with a variety of proteins, and is thought to be part of a multiple signal transduction cascade. Recombinant human CDK16 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
