Description : This gene encodes a member of the histidine triad (HIT) superfamily, some of which have nucleotide-binding and diadenosine polyphosphate hydrolase activities. The encoded protein may play a role in single-stranded DNA repair. Mutations in this gene have been associated with ataxia-ocular apraxia. Multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene, however, the full length nature of some variants has not been determined.
Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Tag : T7
Form : Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added.
Applications : ELISA (EL/EIA). Suitable for use in ELISA as an Antigen, Ligand, or Assay Standard.
Notes : Small volumes of Aprataxin recombinant protein may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice.
Stability : May be stored at 4 centigrade for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70 centigrade. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
Storage : Storage at -70 centigrade
