Cat. No. : IFNK-68H
Product Overview : Recombinant Human Interferon Kappa is a type-1 Interferon expressed inE.coli.IFN Kappa employs the type-1 signal transduction pathway and receptor. DNA source modified to include N-terminal 6-His tag. Anti-viral activity against ECMV infection is weaker than other type-1 IFNs. IFN Kappa is a 22 kDa molecular weight protein.
Description : Human type I interferons comprise a vast and growing group of IFN proteins. All type I IFNs bind to a specific cell surface receptor complex known as the IFN-α receptor (IFNAR) that consists of IFNAR1 and IFNAR2 chains. Homologous molecules to type I IFNs are found in many species, including all mammals, and some have been identified in birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish species.
Source : E.coli.
Formulation : Avoid repeat freeze-thaw. Microcentrifuge before use. Because ANTIGENIX factors are provided in small quantities of protein which can adhere to the sides and cap of the vial during manufacture, we recommend microcentrifuging for 30 seconds to spin-down all material.
Purity : Purity > 90% by HPLC analysis. Provided in 50 mM Tris Buffered Saline, with 0.1% SDS.
Solubility : Can be diluted only in PBS or buffers containing 0.1% BSA.
Protein Content : Approx. 0.50 mg/mL.
Storage : Purified Human Kappa factor is provided as semi-frozen liquid. Store aliquots frozen at -20°C.
