• Description: Affinity purified Succinylated concanavalin A (Succ-Con A) is derived from native lectin concanavalin A (Con A). Succ-Con A have been studied for their effects to induce marked proliferation of human peripheral blood lymphocytes. Succ-Con A exhibits mitogenic action equal to native Con A and both increase lymphocytes levels of cyclic GMP. Unlike Con A, Succ-Con at high concertation does not decrease mitogenic activity. Succ-Con A reversibly prevents the growth of normal cells and restores a normal growth phenotype to transformed cells.
