Description : Maackia amurensis lectin I binds gal (β-1,4) glcNAc but tolerates substitution of N-acetyllactosamine with sialic acid at the 3 position of galactose. However, MAL I does not appear to bind this structure when substitution with sialic acid is on the 6 position of galactose.

Reconstitution : Reconstitute by adding 1ml water. The resulting solution will have the following composition: 10 mM HEPES, pH 7.5, 0.15 M NaCl, 0.08% sodium azide, 0.1 mM Ca2+, 0.01 mM Mn2+.
