It is produced in a mammalian cell line and purified by column chromatography. It is provided as a powder, lyophilized from ammonium bicarbonate, and protein content is determined using the Lowry Protein Assay (BSA standard).

Description : The pituitary glycoprotein hormone family includes follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, chorionic gonadotropin, and thyroid-stimulating hormone. All of these glycoproteins consist of an identical alpha subunit and a hormone-specific beta subunit.

Storage : Product is shipped using a refrigerated gel packs (not temperature monitored). On arrival, store refrigerated at 2 centigrade to 8 centigrade short term (up to 2 weeks) or frozen below -15 centigrade. After reconstituting, store frozen in small aliquots. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution : We recommend using the following buffer: 10 mM Sodium Phosphate, 150 mM Sodium Chloride, 1 mg/ml BSA, 0.1% Sodium Azide (optional), pH 7.4.
