Active Recombinant Human RAN protein, His-tagged, Human wild type.

Cat.No. : RAN-18H
Product Overview : Recombinant Human RAN fused with His tag was expressed in E. coli.

Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Tag : His
Form : The protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder.
Bio-activity : Biological activity of the protein is determined by demonstrating that in GTP bound RN01 associates with RanBP1 protein while the GDP bound form of RN01 does not associate with the RanBBP1.
Molecular Mass : The protein is 31kD (but will run between 30-36 kDa on a 12% acrylamide gel).
Purity : Purity is determined by scanning densitometry of proteins on SDS-PAGE gels. His-Ran samples are >90% pure.
Applications : Ran biochemistry;Ran GTPase assays;Ran nucleotide exchange assays;Ran binding studies;
Storage : Stable at 4 centigrade for 1 year as a lyophilized powder. Once reconsttuted as a 1 mg/ml solution the protein can be stored at -70 centigrade for 6 months. For frozen storage we recommend that the protein be supplemented with DTT to 1 mM final concentration, aliquoted into “experiment sized” amounts and snap frozen in liquid nitrogen. We do not recommend freeze-thawing of the protein.
Reconstitution : When it is reconstituted in distilled water to 1 mg/ml, the protein is in the following buffer: 1.4 mM Tris pH 7.5, 0.28 mM MgCl2, 0.28% sucrose, 0.07% dextran.
Gene Name : RAN RAN, member RAS oncogene family [ Homo sapiens ]
Official Symbol : RAN
Synonyms : RAN; RAN, member RAS oncogene family; GTP-binding nuclear protein Ran; ARA24; Gsp1; TC4; RanGTPase; GTPase Ran; OK/SW-cl.81; ras-like protein TC4; member RAS oncogene family; ras-related nuclear protein; guanosine triphosphatase Ran; androgen receptor-associated protein 24;
Gene ID : 5901
mRNA Refseq : NM_006325
Protein Refseq : NP_006316
MIM : 601179
UniProt ID : P62826
Chromosome Location : 12
