• Description: Extracellular superoxide dismutase [Cu-Zn] (SOD3) protects the extracellular space from toxic effect of reactive oxygen intermediates by converting superoxide radicals into hydrogen peroxide and oxygen. Although the function of SOD3 as a regulator of cellular growth has been well established, the role of SOD3 in tumorigenesis is still unclear.
