Description :	Phl p 1 is a recombinant protein with IgE-binding capacity. It was produced by heterologous expression in E. coli, purified by conventional biochemical methods, and lyophilized from phosphate buffer (pH 7.5).

Storage :	When stored at -20 centigrade the quality of the material will be maintained for several years. However, for short periods (max. 3 weeks) the lyophilized product may be kept at room temperature. After reconstitution store at -20 centigrade. Avoid repeated freezing/thawing.

Reconstitution :	To achieve satisfactory solubilization of at least 95% we strongly recommend to use the following procedure: Suspend the protein to a concentration of 1 mg/ml with distilled water (or equivalent) containing 1-2 mM -mercaptoethanol and support physical suspension by either vortexing or working the suspension through a fine-bore pipet tip. Then incubate the suspension for 2 - 20 h at 4 centigrade with gentle agitation to allow a complete reconstitution of the protein. If reconstituted to 1 mg/ml the concentration of PO4 will be 2 mM. Please, note that the solubility of the protein is strongly reduced in solvents with salt concentration above 20 mM. Salt may be added after reconstitution.
