• Description: Dpo4 is DNA polymerase 4 of the thermophilic archaea Sulfolobus solfataricus. It is a DinB or human Polκ homologue. As a member of the Y family DNA polymerases, Dpo4 is able to perform translesion synthesis and is a low fidelity DNA polymerase in copying undamaged DNA. Dpo4 is active at high temperatures.
