• Product Overview: rProtein G Beads are affinity chromatography media for the separation and purification of lgG. Protein G is a cell wall protein isolated from G Streptococci that binds to mammalian IgG via its Fc fragment. Recombinant protein G contains a high affinity binding site, which reduces non-specific adsorption. Protein G and Protein A have different lgG binding properties. Compared with Protein A, Protein G has a stronger binding force for polyclonal antibodies such as cattle, sheep, and horses. It also binds rat lgG, human IgG3, and mouse lgG1 that do not bind well to Protein A.
