It is often positive for catalase and nitrate reduction and is a facultative anaerobe that can grow without the need for oxygen.

• Storage: Store for less than 1 week at 2-8 centigrade. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20 centigrade. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
