Description : RhoGAP is responsible for inactivating Rho GTPases by accelerating the hydrolysis of GTP to GDP. This enzymatic activity promotes the conversion of Rho GTPases from an active, GTP-bound state to an inactive, GDP-bound state, thereby regulating downstream signaling pathways. The inactivation of Rho GTPases is crucial for maintaining cellular homeostasis and controlling processes such as cell shape changes, cell adhesion dynamics and cell motility. Dysregulation of RhoGAP activity has been implicated in various human diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders.
