| Description : |
Mesencephalic astr centigradeyte derived neurotrophic factor (MANF), also known as argininerich, mutated in early stage tumors (ARMET) and argininerich protein (ARP), is a 20 kDa member of the ARMET family of proteins. The name ARMET comes from the fact that the protein was initially thought to be 50 aa longer at the Nterminus and to contain an arginine rich region. The presence of a specific mutation changing the previously numbered codon 50 from ATG to AGG, or deletion of that codon, has been reported in a variety of solid tumors. |
| Form : |
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS. |
| Bio-activity : |
Measured by its ability to support the survival and stimulate neurite outgrowth of rat embryonic cortical neurons. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.7-2.8 μg/mL. |
| Molecular Mass : |
20.4 kDa, reducing conditions. |
| Endotoxin : |
<1.0 eu per 1 μg of the protein by the lal</1.0 |
| Purity : |
>90%, by SDSPAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain. |
| Usage : |
FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY |
| Quality Control Test : |
12 months from date of receipt, 20 to 70 centigrade as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months, 20 to 70 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution. |
| Reconstitution : |
Reconstitute at 200 μg/mL in sterile PBS. |
| Warning : |
Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
