Description : |
NLGN2 is one of severaltype I transmembrane Neuroligins that are expressed on neuronal postsynapticdensities. Neuroligins play an important role in synaptic development andfunction. Mature human NLGN2 is a 105 kDa protein that consists of a 663amino acid extracellular domain with a catalytically inactive cholinesterase-likedomain, a 21 aa transmembrane segment, and a 137 aa cytoplasmic tail. Withinthe ECD, human NLGN2 shares 98% aa sequence identity with mouse and ratNLGN2. |
