Tag : His
Protein Length : 1-522 a.a.
Description : Gp5 is an 83 kDatype I transmembrane (TM) glycoprotein of the leucine-rich repeat (LRR)family. It is expressed exclusively within the platelet / megakaryocytelineage, where it noncovalently interacts with other platelet TM LRRproteins, GPIbα/β and GPIX, at a ratio of one GPV to two of each othersubunit. The GPI-V-IX complex tethers platelets to von Willebrand factor onthe surface of injured endothelial cells. Absence of the complex results inBernard-Soulier syndrome, a rare bleeding disorder.
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.
N-terminalSequence : Gln17
Molecular Weight : 57.5 kDa
Activity : Measuredby its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Mouse Gp5 is coated at 5 μg/mL, the concentration of RecombinantHuman vWFA2 that produces 50% optimal binding response is found to beapproximately 0.25-1.25 μg/mL
Endotoxin Level : <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE : 70-90kDa, reducing conditions
Purity : >95%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : Reconstituteat 500 μg/mL in PBS
Storage : Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 12 months fromdate of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 °C under sterileconditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterileconditions after reconstitution.
