• Description: Quantum dots (QDs) are inorganic semiconductor nanocrystals that have tunable fluorescence properties. QDs have high quantum yields, broad absorption spectra, narrow size-tunable emissions, and are resistant to photobleaching as well as to chemical degradation. Quantum dots (QDs) have the potential to become a new class of fluorescent probes for many biological and biomedical applications. Our quantum dots are water soluble and they can be applied directly for conjugation of biomolecules. Se nanoparticles and their nanocomposites with some metals have excitation dependent emission in intra-red region and they are considered as an useful tool for cancer imaging and therapy
