Recombinant Human Klotho Beta, His-tagged

Cat. No.: KLB-5671H
Product Overview: Recombinant Human KLBprotein was expressed in Murine myeloma cell line with a C-terminal 10-Histag. Phe53-Leu997.
Description: KLB, a divergentstructural member of the glycosidase I superfamily, is expressed primarily inthe liver and pancreas, with lower expression in adipose tissue. Like Klotho,KLB facilitates binding between FGF19 subfamily members and their receptorsvia formation of a ternary complex. The KLB mediated interaction of humanFGF19 (mouse FGF15) with FGF Receptor 4 in the liver negatively regulatesbile acid synthesis by controlling the secretion of two key bile acidsynthase genes, Cyp7a1 and Cyp8b1.
Source: Murine myeloma cellline, NS0-derived.
Form: Supplied as a 0.2 μmfiltered solution in PBS, Glycerol and EDTA.
N-terminalSequence: Phe53
Molecular Weight: 110 kDa
Activity: Measuredby its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) ofrhKLB was immobilized onto Ms x hKLB coated plate, the concentration ofrhFGF-21 that produces 50% of the optimal binding response was found to beapproximately 3-18 ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE: 126 kDa,reducing conditions.
Purity: >95%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Storage: Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 12 months fromdate of receipt, -70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterileconditions after opening.
