Two relatedmembers, KREMEN1, and 2, have been identified. KREMEN bind a subset of thesecreted Dickkopf proteins (Dkk1, 2, and 4) with high affinity to modulatethe canonical Wnt signaling pathway that is transduced by the ternaryreceptor complex composed of Wnt, the seventransmembrane domain receptorFrizzled, and the LDLreceptorrelated protein 5/6 coreceptor.
