Cat. No. : |
NRXN2-055H |
Description : |
NRXN2 is a neuronaltype I transmembrane molecule that is encoded by one of three Neurexin genes.Mature human NRXN2 is an approximately 200 kDa N- and O-glycosylated proteinwith a 1608 amino acid (aa extracellular domain (ECD) and a 55 aa cytoplasmicdomain. The ECD contains six LNS domains interspersed with three EGF-likedomains and a juxtamembrane O-glycosylation region. The ECD of human NRXN2shares 98% and 99% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat NRXN2,respectively. Transcription of the NRXN2 gene from an internal promoter givesrise to NRXN2 which lacks the first five LNS domains and all of the EGF-likedomains. |
