Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor, Type IA, His-tagged

Cat. No.: BMPR1A-889H
Product Overview: A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain ( Met 1 - Arg 152 ) of human ALK3 ( NP_004320.2 ) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
Description: ALK3 is a type I receptor for bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs). The BMP receptors form a subfamily of transmembrane serine/threonine kinases including the type I receptors BMPR1A and BMPR1B and the type II receptor BMPR2. Type I and II BMP receptors are both indispensable for signal transduction. Upon ligand binding, they form a heterotetrameric-activated receptor complex consisting of two pairs of a type I and a II receptor. Type II receptors can bind ligands in the absence of type I receptors, whereas the respective type I receptors are required for signal transduction.
Source: Human
Host: Human Cells
Form: Lyophilized from sterile PBS , pH 7.4. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.
Purity: > 85 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
Endotoxin: ﹤1.0 EU per μg protein as determined by the LAL method
Stability: Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70 °C
Predicted N terminal: Gln 24
Molecular Mass: The secreted recombinant human ALK3 consists of 141 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 15.7 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rhALK3 is approximately 28-33 kDa due to glycosylation.
Storage: Store it under sterile conditions at -70°C upon receiving. Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
