• Description: Human Oxytocin stimulates uterine smooth muscle contractions indirectly and stimulates the mammary glands to increase lactation without increasing the production of milk.
• Form: The Oxytocin was lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution with no additives.
• Purity: Greater than 98.0% as determined by RP-HPLC.
• Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
• Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Oxytocin in sterile 18Mμ-cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
