Recombinant Human Phosphoglycerate Kinase 2, His-tagged

Cat. No.: PGK2-981H
Product Overview: Recombinant human PGK2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
Description: PGK2 is a testis-specific form of phosphoglycerate kinase. Initially assumed to be a pseudogene, this protein is actually a functional phosphoglycerate kinase that catalyzes the reversible conversion of 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate, during the Embden-Meyerhof-Parnas pathway of glycolysis, in the later stages of spermatogenesis.
Form: Liquid. In 20mM Tris-HCl buffer(pH 8.0) containing 20% glycerol, 1mM DTT, 0.1M NaCl.
Molecular Weight: 46.9 kDa (437aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF.
Purity: > 85% by SDS-PAGE
Concentration: 0.5 mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)
