Cell debris was removed by centrifugation and then centrifuged to clarify the lysate. The cell lysate was boiled for 5 minutes in 1 x SDS sample buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl pH 6.8, 12.5% glycerol, 1% sodium dodecylsulfate, 0.01% bromophenol blue) containing 5% b-mercaptoethanol, and lyophilized. |
Lysis buffer : | Modified RIPA Lysis Buffer: 50 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 1mM EDTA, 1% Triton X-100, 0.1% SDS, 1% Sodium deoxycholate, 1mM PMSF |
Quality control Testing : | 12.5% SDS-PAGE Stained with Coomassie Blue |
Recommended Usage : | 1. Centrifuge the tube for a few seconds and ensure the pellet at the bottom of the tube.2. Re-dissolve the pellet using 200μL pure water and boiled for 2-5 min.3. Store it at -80°C. Recommend to aliquot the cell lysate into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.Notes:The lysate is ready to load on SDS-PAGE for Western blot application. If dissociating conditions are required, add reducing agent prior to heating. |
Stability : | Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -80°C |
Storage Buffer : | 50 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 1mM EDTA, 1% Triton X-100, 0.1% SDS, 1% Sodium deoxycholate, 1mM PMSF |
Storage Instruction : | Lysate samples are stable for 12 months from date of receipt when stored at -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Prior to SDS-PAGE fractionation, boil the lysate for 5 minutes. |

Ask a questionYes, there are several ongoing or completed clinical trials investigating the therapeutic potential of targeting Angptl2 in various diseases. These trials are primarily focused on cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, and cancer. However, it is important to note that the results of these trials are still awaited and the therapeutic use of Angptl2 inhibitors is not yet approved.
Angptl2 protein has been shown to play a role in wound healing, particularly in the process of tissue remodeling. It is involved in angiogenesis, which is essential for supplying nutrients and oxygen to the healing wound. Additionally, Angptl2 regulates the migration and activation of fibroblasts, which are key cells involved in wound healing.
At present, no specific genetic mutations directly associated with Angptl2 protein have been reported. However, there may be variations in the Angptl2 gene that could influence its expression or function, and further research is needed to understand the genetic factors related to Angptl2.
Angptl2 protein can induce the production of inflammatory molecules and cell adhesion molecules, thereby promoting the migration and activation of immune cells. It is thought to contribute to chronic inflammation observed in various diseases, such as atherosclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Yes, Angptl2 has been implicated in obesity and associated metabolic disorders. Studies have shown that elevated Angptl2 levels in obese individuals are associated with insulin resistance, inflammation, and adverse metabolic outcomes. It is believed that Angptl2 may contribute to the development of obesity-related complications.
There is some evidence suggesting a potential involvement of Angptl2 in neurodegenerative diseases. Studies have shown that Angptl2 levels are increased in the brains of Alzheimer's disease patients and may contribute to the progression of neuroinflammation and neuronal damage. However, more research is needed to fully understand the role of Angptl2 in neurodegenerative diseases.
Yes, Angptl2 is considered a potential therapeutic target for various diseases. Inhibitors targeting Angptl2 have shown promise in preclinical studies and have been investigated as potential treatments for conditions like atherosclerosis, diabetes, and cancer. However, more research is needed to establish their efficacy and safety in clinical settings.
Researchers have identified various inhibitors of Angptl2, including antibodies and small molecules, which show promise as potential therapeutic agents. Activators of Angptl2 are not well-studied and understood at present.
Angptl2 has been investigated as a potential biomarker for various diseases. In conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and cancer, increased levels of Angptl2 have been detected in blood samples of affected individuals. These elevated Angptl2 levels have been associated with disease severity and poor prognosis. However, further research is needed to establish the clinical utility and reliability of Angptl2 as a biomarker.
Elevated levels of Angptl2 protein have been observed in certain diseases, so it holds potential as a diagnostic biomarker. However, more research is needed to establish its clinical utility and specificity as a diagnostic tool.
Yes, Angptl2 has emerged as a potential therapeutic target for cardiovascular diseases. In preclinical studies, inhibiting Angptl2 has been shown to reduce atherosclerosis, cardiac remodeling, and vascular dysfunction. These findings suggest that Angptl2 inhibition may have beneficial effects on cardiovascular health. Clinical trials are ongoing to further evaluate the efficacy and safety of targeting Angptl2 in cardiovascular disease treatment.
Angptl2 has been implicated in cancer progression and metastasis. It is thought to promote tumor angiogenesis by stimulating the growth of blood vessels within tumors. Additionally, Angptl2 can enhance cancer cell migration and invasion, facilitating the spread of tumor cells to distant sites. In some cancers, high levels of Angptl2 have been associated with poor prognosis and worse outcomes. Targeting Angptl2 may therefore have potential therapeutic benefits in cancer treatment.
Yes, elevated levels of Angptl2 have been observed in several diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, and certain types of cancer. It is considered a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for these conditions.
Angptl2 protein is known to be involved in tumor progression and metastasis. It promotes angiogenesis, enhances tumor cell migration, and facilitates the invasion of cancer cells into surrounding tissues.
Angptl2 protein has been implicated in several functions. It plays a role in promoting inflammation, regulating angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels), and modulating glucose and lipid metabolism.
The expression and activity of Angptl2 protein can be regulated by various factors, including cytokines, hormones, and signaling pathways. For example, inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha and IL-1beta can upregulate the expression of Angptl2. Hormones like estrogen and insulin can also affect Angptl2 expression. Additionally, the NF-κB and JAK/STAT signaling pathways have been shown to play a role in regulating Angptl2 levels.
