Description : | Antigen standard for phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1 (soluble) (PCK1) is a lysate prepared from HEK293T cells transiently transfected with a TrueORF gene-carrying pCMV plasmid and then lysed in RIPA Buffer. Protein concentration was determined using a colorimetric assay. The antigen control carries a C-terminal Myc/DDK tag for detection. |
Source : | HEK 293 cells |
Species : | Human |
Components : | This product includes 3 vials: 1 vial of gene-specific cell lysate, 1 vial of control vector cell lysate, and 1 vial of loading buffer. Each lysate vial contains 0.1 mg lysate in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of RIPA Buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl pH7.5, 250 mM NaCl, 5 mM EDTA, 50 mM NaF, 1% NP40). The loading buffer vial contains 0.5 ml 2X SDS Loading Buffer (125 mM Tris-Cl, pH6.8, 10% glycerol, 4% SDS, 0.002% Bromophenol blue, 5% beta-mercaptoethanol). |
Size : | 0.1 mg |
Storage Instruction : | Store at -80°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. After addition of 2X SDS Loading Buffer, the lysates can be stored at -20°C. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment. |
Applications : | ELISA, WB, IP. WB: Mix equal volume of lysates with 2X SDS Loading Buffer. Boil the mixture for 10 min before loading (for membrane protein lysates, incubate the mixture at room temperature for 30 min). Load 5 ug lysate per lane. |

Q&As (6)
Ask a questionRecent studies have found that PCK1 is also involved in the synthesis and oxidation of fatty acids. These processes have an important impact on energy metabolism and cell growth, and also provide new ideas for the treatment of some PCK1-related diseases.
There are still some limitations in the current research on PCK1, such as the lack of in-depth research on its specific mechanism of action and function, and the incomplete understanding of its relationship with diseases. In addition, since PCK1 is a key enzyme in the gluconeogenesis pathway, its regulation may also have some side effects.
PCK1 plays a key role in energy metabolism. By participating in the gluconeogenesis pathway, it maintains a stable supply of glucose in the body, thereby ensuring the body's energy needs in stressful states such as hunger and exercise.
The activity of PCK1 is regulated by a variety of factors, including hormones (such as insulin, glucagon, etc.), nutrients (such as glucose, fatty acids, etc.), and intracellular signal transduction pathways (such as AMPK, mTOR, etc.). These factors regulate the activity of PCK1 by influencing its phosphorylation, acetylation and other modifications.
The expression level of PCK1 can be detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, immunohistochemistry, real-time PCR and other methods. These methods can detect protein or mRNA levels of PCK1 in tissues or cells to assess changes in its expression in disease.
Therapeutic strategies for PCK1 include inhibiting its expression, modulating its activity, or using gene therapy. For example, some glucose-lowering drugs (such as metformin) reduce blood sugar levels by inhibiting the activity of PCK1 and reducing the output of glucose in the liver. In addition, it is also possible to treat related diseases by regulating the expression level of PCK1.
