Description : This mixture contain core polypeptide plus attached glycosaminoglycans, comprising a mixture of large, extracellular chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans, major components of mixture are versican and aggrecan, which are members of the family of hyaluronic acid binding proteoglycans and therefore each contains hyaluronic acid binding regions, Ig-like domains, EGF like domains, lectin-like domains, and complement regulatory-like domains. As macromolecular polyanions they expand and hydrate the ECM in tissues such as cartilage, intervertebral disc, dermis, blood vessel wall and in the glia of the brain.
