Recombinant Human Vesicle-associated Membrane Protein 8 (Endobrevin)

Cat. No. : VAMP8-304H
Product Overview : Recombinant VAMP8 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques (96 aa, 10.9 kDa).
Description : Vehicle-associated membrane (VAMP8) ,also known as endobrevin, is the main components of a SNARE complex involved in the docking and fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane. This protein plays a role in regulated enzyme secretion in pancreatic acinar cells and is involved in the abscission of the midbody during cell division, which leads to completely separate daughter cells. It is required for dense-granule secretion in platelets.
Source : E.coli.
Formulation : Liquid in 20mM Tris pH 8.0, 30% glycerol.
Molecular Weight : 10.9 kDa (96aa).
Purity : > 95% by SDS – PAGE.
Concentration : 1 mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay).
Storage : Can be stored at +4°C short term (1-2 weeks). For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or -70°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
