What are the downstream signaling pathways activated by AMICA1 and their functional consequences? 12/19/2022

Activation of AMICA1 triggers downstream signaling pathways, such as Rho GTPases, PI3K/AKT, or MAPK/ERK, which modulate cytoskeletal rearrangement, cell survival, and gene expression, impacting cellular functions.

How does AMICA1 contribute to the formation and maintenance of tissue architecture? 02/10/2022

AMICA1 contributes to the formation and maintenance of tissue architecture by promoting cell adhesion, regulating cell polarity, and facilitating tissue-specific cellular organization.

What is the tissue-specific expression pattern of AMICA1 in different organs? 11/29/2021

AMICA1 exhibits a tissue-specific expression pattern, with higher expression observed in epithelial tissues, neural tissues, and certain organs like the liver and kidney.

Can targeting AMICA1 be a potential therapeutic strategy for diseases involving abnormal cell adhesion? 08/28/2020

Targeting AMICA1 signaling or interaction with specific antibodies or small molecules holds potential as a therapeutic strategy for diseases associated with abnormal cell adhesion or tissue integrity.

How does AMICA1 interact with other cell adhesion molecules and extracellular matrix components? 08/26/2020

AMICA1 interacts with various cell adhesion molecules, such as cadherins, integrins, or selectins, as well as extracellular matrix components like collagen or fibronectin, facilitating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.

Does AMICA1 have post-translational modifications that impact its function or stability? 02/22/2020
