• Description: EPAC (exchange protein directly activated by cAMP) is a Rap-specific guanine-nucleotide exchange factor (GEF). EPAC is activated by the binding of cAMP to a cyclic nucleotide monophosphate-binding domain. N-terminal deletion of the DEP domain (domain that occur in Dishevelled, Egl-10, and Pleckstrin) of EPAC _DEP does not affect regulation of EPAC-activity but affects membrane localization.
