Product Overview: Recombinant Human Immunoglobulin G encoding Pro 100 - Lys 330 of the human IgG1 Fc protein sequence was cloned downstream from a CD33 signal sequence and polypeptide linker, inserted into a suitable mammalian expression vector and expressed inNSO cells.
Description: Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a monomeric immunoglobulin, built of two heavy chains γ and two light chains. Each IgG has two antigen binding sites. It is the most abundant immunoglobulin and is approximately equally distributed in blood and in tissue liquids. IgG molecules are synthesized and secreted by plasma B cells. IgG antibodies are predominately involved in the secondary antibody response, (the main antibody involved in primary response is IgM). Pro-inflammatory cytokines particularly IL-4 and IL-2 have a crucial role in activation of the IgG antibody response. IgG is the only isotype that can pass through the human placenta, thereby providing protection to the fetus in utero. Residual IgG absorbed through the placenta provides the neonate with humoral immunity before its own immune system develops. It also plays an important role in Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC).

Formulation: This recombinant protein was 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 – 7.3 with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives.
Biological Activity: This protein is meant for use as a control.
Storage And Stability: This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for one month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
