• Description: PLCL2 (Phospholipase C like 2) belongs to phospholipase C family. However, the PI-PLC X-box lacks the essential histidine at position 486 which is replaced by a threonine. It is, therefore, predicted to be inactive. It may play an role in the regulation of Ins(1,4,5)P3 around the endoplasmic reticulum.
