Product Overview : Recombinant human PNPO protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. MW = 25.9 kDa (226aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF (molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear higher).
Description : PNPO, also known as pyridoxine-5"-phosphate oxidase, is the rate-limiting enzyme in vitamin B6 synthesis. Vitamin B6, or pyridoxal 5-prime-phosphate (PLP), is critical for normal cellular function, and some cancer cells have notable differences in vitamin B6 metabolism compared to their normal counterparts.
