||Recombinant human BAT1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. MW = 51.1 (448aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF.
||BAT1, also known as UAP56, is a member of the DEAD box family of RNA-dependent ATPases that mediate ATP hydrolysis during pre-mRNA splicing. This protein is an essential splicing factor required for association of U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein with pre-mRNA, and also plays an important role in mRNA export from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. Mutations in this protein may be associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
