• Product Overview: Flp (Flippase recombination enzyme) was discovered in yeast cells. Its gene length is 1272bp, and it is a 48kDa polypeptide monomer protein composed of 423 amino acids. FRT is the Flp recognition site, with a total length of 48bp, containing three 13 bp recombinant enzyme binding regions and one 8bp asymmetric spacer containing XbaI sites. Flp-frt system and CRE-LOXP induced gene recombination in a similar way, the obvious difference between the two systems is that the recombinant enzyme (Cre and Flp) has different optimal reaction temperature, some studies have found that the optimal temperature of Cre recombinant enzyme is 37°C, while Flp recombinant enzyme is 30°C.
