Description : |
CLEC11A is a proteinthat in humans is encoded by the CLEC11A gene. CLEC11A encodes a member ofthe C-type lectin superfamily. The encoded protein is a secreted sulfatedglycoprotein and functions as a growth factor for primitive hematopoieticprogenitor cells. An alternative splice variant has been described but itsbiological nature has not been determined. |
Form : |
Lyophilized fromPBS, pH 7.3. |
Molecular Weight : |
25.0 kDa |
Purity : |
> 98% asdetermined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses |
Endotoxin Level : |
<0.1 ng/µg of CLEC11A |
Biological Activity : |
Determined by itsinhibitory effect on the proliferation of TF-1 cells, previously grown inmedia containing GM-CSF. The ED50 for this effect is7 ng/ml. For most in vitro applications, SCGF-ß exerts its biological activityin the concentration range of 0.2 to 20.0 ng/ml. |
Reconstitution : |
Centrifuge vialprior to opening. First add sterile distilled water to the vial to fullysolubilize the protein to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. After completesolubilization of the protein, it can be further diluted into buffercontaining carrier protein or medium containing serum. Please note that theaddition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwantedendotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed. |
