| Description : |
Type IV collagen is the major structural component of glomerular basement membranes (GBM), forming a 'chicken-wire' meshwork together with laminins, proteoglycans and entactin/nidogen.. Arresten, comprising the C-terminal NC1 domain, inhibits angiogenesis and tumor formation. The C-terminal half is found to possess the anti-angiogenic activity. Specifically inhibits endothelial cell proliferation, migration and tube formation. |
| Form : |
Lyophilized |
| Molecular Mass : |
11.37 kDa |
| Endotoxin : |
< 0.04 EU/μg protein (LAL method) |
| Purity : |
> 95% by SDS-PAGE gel, purified by sequential chromatography methods (FPLC) |
| Storage : |
This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 centigrade for short term. For longer storage it should be kept at -20 centigrade. Reconstituted protein should be stored in working aliquots at –20 centigrade. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. |
| Reconstitution : |
Always centrifuge the vial before opening. Lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in water following instructions of batch Quality Control Sheet. At higher concentrations solubility may be reduced and, due to the protein nature, dimmers and multimers generated. Optimal concentration should be determined for specific application. |
| Storage Buffer : |
Lyophilized Sodium Acetate Buffer pH 5-5.2. Sterile filtered through 0.2 μm filter. |
