Description : |
MAP3K11is a serine/threonine kinase that activates both the p38 MAP kinase and c-Junkinase pathways. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of theserine/threonine kinase family. This kinase contains a SH3 domain and aleucine zipper-basic motif. This kinase preferentially activates MAPK8/JNKkinase, and functions as a positive regulator of JNK signaling pathway. Thiskinase can directly phosphorylate, and activates IkappaB kinase alpha andbeta, and is found to be involved in the transcription activity of NF-kappaBmediated by Rho family GTPases and CDC42. |
