| Description : |
Tumor susceptibility gene 11 (TSG11) is a multi-functional gene involved in cell growth and proliferation in vertebrates. The tumor susceptibility gene 11 (TSG11) regulates AR expression level via the endosome/lysosome degradation pathway, that the interaction of the AR and TSG11 leads to androgen receptor (AR) recruitment to TSG11-containing cytoplasmic vesicles and induces AR-attenuated expression through the late endosome/lysosome degradation pathway. TSG11 elicits an array of cellular functions, including promoting cytokinesis, cell cycle progression and proliferation, as well as facilitating endosomal trafficking and viral budding. |
