MVBs contain intraluminal vesicles(ILVs) that are generated by invagination and scission from the limitingmembrane of the endosome and mostly are delivered to lysosomes enablingdegradation of membrane proteins, such as stimulated growth factor receptors,lysosomal enzymes and lipids.
